What is Kundalini Yoga? - October 10, 2006
All styles of yoga are amazing in their own way. Kundalini yoga was brought to the U.S. by Yogi Bhajan in the 1960's. It is a style of yoga that everyone can do regardless of body type, age or weight. It uses a lot of breathwork, mantra, movement and meditation - challenging but fun.

Our day to day language is peppered with subconscious knowledge of our bodies. We refer to brave people as having "nerves of steel", being "nervy" and weak people as having "nervous breakdowns", "weak nerves", and "nervous energy". If someone bothers you, they are getting on your last nerve.". But ask most people what their nerves do or how to make them stronger and they don't have much of an answer.
In fact, you can strengthen your nerves, and make your self the type of person who can tolerate stress more gracefully. Kundalini Yoga has many, many sets that do just that. One of best ways to improve your quality of life is to improve the quality of your nerves.
